Dear Anton,

I would like to create a SMS getaway using kannel. I would like to know does GSM Modem need to have currency to send SMS. How much is a SMS cost.

When we use a kannel can we modify sender id as our own id… does it work like that

if you use SIM cards you can’t change sender ID, I mean Kannel can change it but it won’t have any effect

Then what method i have to use if i want to change sender id for each user

Do not use simcards to send sms, use service providers that provides sender id masking or changes

You can use smpp connections in kannel, and search for reliable provider who support sender id to your country.
