I’ll like to know which of the service providers listed under SMS category will work for PlaySMS?

These providers used to work (or maybe still work) using shipped plugins of playSMS:
clickatell, infobip, nexmo, telnyx, twilio

Apologies if my question seems noob but what about the case I use a Kannel or Gammy?

Kannel should work properly

You meant Gammu ? playSMS can use gammu-smsd
