Playsms on synology nas via docker + Qualcomm MDM9200

Hi All, I bought a cheap 4G USB modem from aliexpress (seems to be Qualcomm MDM9200), and would like to use it thought docker on my synology nas with DSM 7. I tried and it seems the key is not recognized directly by OS and I need some manual setup that I didn’t manage to complete with success yet.

My idea is to put a sim card and that the sms reaching it would be sent to my email.

I’d like to know if it is doable with that “modem” which actually seems recognized as a device on linux (so it’s not just an external hotspot) before getting the headache of compiling driver and manage to get it to work on my synology OS.

You can try to use it with Kannel, see if its recognized and properly initiated.

And then use playSMS to send/receive SMS via Kannel

thanks, but if the driver is not available i think it will also not work on Kannel

plug it to Linux and type: lsusb

paste here, maybe someone can help identify it
